Too many Mexicanz deny being Latino or Hispanic. Whether they wanna deny it or not, we're Chicanoz, we're Mexicanz, we're Mexican-Americanz... We're Hispanicz, and we're Latinoz...
Latino iz a word that unitez all Latin racez from Latin America as a whole... As a brotherhood and as a movement. If you really have "brown pride" then you wouldn't separate your own people from otherz that share the same pride... When you start to deny unity, you segregate your own people.
The term Latino or Latin iz not a title used to categorize a race or ethnicity... The term Latino iz based on language preference, not race. Last time I checked, modern Mexicanz speak Spanish... And Spanish originated from a Latin dialect...
Some people also believe that the term "Chicano" iz a race... It iz not. Chicano iz a political movement, not a race. It started in the 60's and to this day iz still practiced amongst many Mexicanz/Latins and even by people of non-Latin heritage. Throughout the yearz, it has become a "term" that was adopted by Latinoz to describe an American born child of Mexican descent due to ignorance... But it'z true meaning iz still strongly rooted in political activism and the betterment of our Latin communitiez. Chicano iz a brotherhood. Chicano iz a movement. Chicano iz not a race.
There'z also alot of foolz that claim to be "100% pure Mexican"... But there'z no such thing as a pure Mexican unless you're "Mexica" (native Indianz of ancient Mexico)... All Mexican blood has been polluted by the Spaniardz at one time or another... And a pure Mexican would not be speaking English or Spanish... They'd be speaking Nahua. Not to mention that modern day Mexicanz follow the Christian religion worshipping a Christian god... A true "pure" Mexica doesn't praise a Christian God. That'z the religion of most modern Mexicanz, not the native Mexica, which iz the only pure Mexican.
Some people may argue that the term "Latino" or "Hispanic" were given to us by the white people... But iz that any different than Mexicanz calling every Asian (no matter what Asian country they're from) a "Chino"??? Or calling every black (even if tehy're black Latin such as Cuban/Venezuelan/Mexican - yes, there are black Mexicanz) a "Negro"??? Not to mention calling every white person a "Gabacho/Huero/Gringo" regardless of their race??? Get over it... Stop crying about it!!! Our gente should be too strong to cry and whine and complain... Man up!!!
Being called "Mexican-American" iz also hated by many of Mexican descent. But adding the "American" to your ethnicity iz more like a description for residentz with legal citizenship in this country. There'z no "pure American" 'cuz "American" isn't a race. It'z a description of RESIDENCY... The white people don't consider their race "American"... When you ask them what they are, they say they're "Caucasian". The only onez who believe their race iz "American" are the ignorant non-educated red neckz fucking their sisterz watching Nascar on an old school bunny-eared antennaed TV with knob dialz... And if you care what people like that have to say, then you have more problemz than just trying to figure out what your race iz...
The reason we put "American" in our title of ethnicity (just like the rest of the minoritiez that originate from other non-anglo countriez do like Asian-Americanz and African-Amerianz etc) iz not to forget our ancestry... It'z actually the opposite... It'z because there iz already a "Mexican" title out there which describez a resident of Mexico... Adding the "American" after it separates legal citizens from the illegal... If you're born in Mexico, you're Mexican... If you're born in America... You're American. But to not disrespect our ancestry, we keep the "Mexican" in our title and say "Mexican-American"... Some people do not agree with this because they feel if both their parentz were from Mexico, they should be Mexican too and being born in America iz no reason to be called "American"... But being born in America iz EXACTLY the reason they're called "American"... Just like being born in Mexico makez someone "Mexican"... It'z not rocket science... I'm sure they'll understand it eventually.
A lot of gente get it twisted and say this land was "stolen"... But this land was not "stolen" literally... In the end, with all honesty, the Mexica gave it away (Motecuzoma didn't do a damn thang to stop it and neither did his followerz... And let'z not forget, not all Mexica women were raped by the Spaniardz to give birth to the mix that became "Mexican", some of them were married to Spaniardz willingly and had children willingly)... And some Mexicanz didn't have to cross the border... Some were alwayz here on American soil before it was American soil... But it iz not... And we are what we are... We can't change that... And we should never hate it or be embarrassed...
We are nativez... We are Americanz... We are Mexican-Americanz... We are Chicanoz... We are Hispanicz... We are Latinoz... STAND PROUD!!!
If you really have a problem with history, you need to stop with the complaining 'cuz you can't change something that happened 488 yearz ago... Do something about it... Learn from your/our history, educate yourselvez, pass that knowledge down to someone else in your bloodline and try to make a change for your people instead of complaining about it and wearing stupid ass T-shirtz that encourage ignorance (Re: T-shirtz that say "I AM NOT LATINO/HISPANIC etc)...
To everybody that claimz to hate America so much... Let'z put it like this... If Mexico iz SOOO fucken GREAT... Then why are so many MEXICANZ trying to leave the country for a BETTER LIFE in AMERICA??? And why aren't YOU living in Mexico??? It'z not that far, go ahead and start walking now... Nobody'z keeping you here... Go live the GOOD LIFE in POVERTY and chase the "Mexican Dream" slanging chiclet for chump change since you hate America so much... And on your way out, remember to pass a MEXICAN that iz on his way IN your I.D., birth certificate, and social security to make his transfer a little easier since you don't want any connectionz to this country...

Some people argue that in this country, education of our history iz not given... That'z why we gotta open those bookz, talk to the right people and go out and learn it for ourselvez... Don't rely on this country to do our homework for us... And don't realy on a school system to teach you how to think for yourself... It'z all right here for the taking... There'z nothing wrong with taking control over self-awareness. Hopefully some of you reading these wordz have started looking into yourselvez a little more and tried to learn a thing or two... I'm sure some of you looked into the shit I wrote in hopez to prove me wrong about something but found out that I was right, and that'z all I can ask for... Even if their reason was just to argue, they learned something from it.
