| "They say life's a bitch, I say she's a whore-trying to fuck each and every one of us and making us pay when she's done....It's just reality." -Bad Tymes BAD TYMES is an action-packed fictional script inspired by a poem by Sylent which was based loosely on real-life events. Over 170 pages, this dramatic screenplay was written by M.F.R. CEO L. Garcia for a mature audience. Witness a strong family fall into the biggest challenges that they have ever faced. When hard times strike, slowly tearing the family apart, we follow Flaco, a lost soul in the streets of S.E.L.A.. Being torn between wrong and right, Flaco fades from innocent to guilty, doing what he must to live to see another day. Witness Flaco's younger sister Tany come face to face with heartbreak while their oldest brother Payaso becomes addicted to the varrios poisons. In the center of it all is Raymond, the youngest of the family looking on in admiration of his oldest brothers while his mother struggles to keep him from following in his brothers footsteps. A climatic confrontation between Payaso and his supplier will bring this real-life scenario to an end with an explosion of raw emotions that every Chicano can relate to. Will the family allow the streets to come between them forever and fall to the pressures of life's hourglass??? This is a future project for Middle Finger Recordz...
